The Bennington Bible Church exists to glorify God, as we meet each person where they are, with the love of Jesus, to rescue, restore, and rejoice.
RESCUE - Evangelism & Salvation
As a church body we seek to live out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37). The ministry of rescuing consists of sharing the Gospel of Jesus from a place of love. We do this on Sunday mornings during our corporate worship and also encourage and equip our congregation to share the Gospel through word and deed in their circles of influence. A visual indication of someone who is rescued is baptism.
RESTORE- Discipleship & Sanctification
The Christian life is a journey led by the Holy Spirit to be restored back to the image of God we were created in before sin entered the world. Although this will never be fully realized this side of heaven, we see many places in Scripture (2 Cor. 3:18, Philippians 2:12-13, Romans 12:1-2) where God is continually growing us up and transforming us into the sons and daughters He created us to be. Restoration is a life-long process with visual indications that include a life lived on mission, fruit of the Spirit, self-less living and freedom in Christ.
REJOICE - Worship Always
Christians will face many peaks and valleys throughout their lives. There is a peace that passes all understanding for the Christian in any given situation because of Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Those who rejoice in all circumstances (1 Thess. 5:16-18) are experiencing the ministry of rejoicing.
